Emergent Evaluation Group

Evaluation for learning. Learning for change.

Veronica Deenanath and Emily Becher, are the co-founders of Emergent Evaluation Group (EEG). At EEG, we help social impact organizations measure and grow their impact through culturally responsive evaluation and shared learning.

We work with nonprofits, philanthropies, government agencies, schools, and mission-driven businesses to solve challenges such as:

Finding the signal in the noise of existing data

Building or strengthening data infrastructure from the ground up

Making sense of complex qualitative and quantitative information

Using data to inform decisions while creating space for innovation and ingenuity to thrive

Turning learning into action, not just reports

How We’re Different

Evaluation with purpose.

We focus on long-term well-being, ethical practice, and reducing harm, not just short-term metrics or compliance. Our work helps organizations understand complex systems, anticipate unintended consequences, and support decisions that lead to lasting human thriving.

Rigor that adapts to reality.

We pair strong research methods with practical, context-responsive evaluation. Our approach values transparency, conservative claims, and continuous learning, drawing on data, community expertise, culturally rooted knowledge, and storytelling to surface what truly matters.

Collaboration with accountability.

We co-create evaluation with partners and communities, centering lived experience and shared responsibility. Our work is meant to be honest, useful, and public-facing, informing action, strengthening systems, and supporting innovation that serves people.

An invitation.

We believe evaluation should feel true, real, and generative for everyone involved, including you. We partner with organizations ready to learn, adapt, and do work that meaningfully reduces harm and expands opportunities for joy and thriving.
